Privacy Policy for XO HQ Android Applications

Applications covered, and how they differ

A fuller description of Storage Cleaner's scanning behaviour is available in its detailed application notes. Those notes add explanation; they do not add or remove any practice described here.

Off-device data transmission: none

• No XO HQ Android application has the INTERNET permission. They cannot transmit data off your device, to us or to anyone else. An automated build check fails the release if that permission ever appears.
• No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or other third-party network SDK is included in any of them.
• No account, no sign-in, no cloud service operated by us.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not receive it in the first place.

What is stored, entirely on your device

Each application keeps its data in private storage on your device, inside Android's application sandbox.

• Storage Cleaner stores scan results: app identities, last-used classification, cache-size snapshots and timestamps, so you can review history and compare before and after a cleanup you perform in Android settings.
• The quote applications store the quotation collection bundled with the app, the quotations you mark as liked, and your appearance preference. They do not record which quotations you viewed or how long you used the app.
• Pills Reminder stores the medication names you type, the schedules you set, each scheduled dose, and the answer you give for it - taken, not taken with a reason you chose, or no answer at all. Names are free text you enter; the app holds no drug database and knows nothing about the medication itself.

None of the applications accesses your contacts, location, camera, microphone, files, or advertising identifier.

Android backup, where it applies

For the applications marked "Yes" in the table above, Android's built-in backup is the one path by which app data can leave your device. If you have Android backup switched on, that data is copied into your own Google account and is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy, not ours; we have no access to it. The same data is carried by device-to-device transfer when you move to a new phone. If you would rather it did not leave the device, turn off backup for the app in Android settings. The applications never read or transmit the backup themselves.

Sharing and copying, which you initiate

Where an application offers a share or copy action, it runs only when you ask for it. Sharing opens Android's system share sheet and you choose the destination; the application hands the text to the application you pick and has no part in what happens next, at which point that application's own privacy policy applies. Copying places text on your device clipboard.

Retention and your controls

• Each application provides in-app controls to remove the data it holds: deleting local history in Storage Cleaner, unliking a quotation in the quote apps.
• Clearing an app's storage in Android settings removes its local database and preferences.
• Uninstalling removes all of that application's local data. For applications included in backup, a copy may remain in your Google account until Android expires it or you delete it there.

Security

These applications reduce exposure structurally rather than by promise: they hold no credential, token, or account, they request the minimum access their features need or none at all, and they have no network connection through which data could be intercepted. Data stays in app-private storage protected by Android's application sandbox. No security method is perfect, and device security still depends on Android, your device configuration, and physical control of the device.

Children

These applications are not directed to children and collect no personal information from anyone, including children.

Support and privacy messages

If you email us, your message and any information you choose to include are transmitted by your email service, not by an XO HQ Android application. We use that information to answer your request and retain it only as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, and record-keeping purposes. We delete it when it is no longer needed, and you may request deletion through the privacy contact below, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, or record-keeping obligations.

Policy changes

We publish material policy changes with the application update that changes the relevant behavior, never retroactively. A new application is added as a row in the table above, which is the only edit a new application requires. The effective date above always reflects the current revision.
