Reporting a problem
Include what you can - every line helps us reproduce it:
- App and version (Storage Cleaner: Settings shows the build)
- Device model and Android version
- What you did, what you expected, what happened instead
- A screenshot if the issue is visual
Because Storage Cleaner does not transmit app data off your device, we have no remote logs or crash reports - your description is genuinely the only signal we get, and we read all of it.

Why does an app show as "Unknown" instead of unused?
Android did not provide valid usage evidence for it. Storage Cleaner never
guesses: without evidence, an app is "Unknown", not "dormant".
Why can Storage Cleaner not clear caches itself?
Android does not allow ordinary apps to delete another app's cache. Apps that
claim otherwise use workarounds we consider unsafe. Storage Cleaner opens the
right Android settings screen and measures the result after you act.
Why did the estimate change after a rescan?
Cache values are live: apps recreate cache as you use them. Every Storage
Cleaner number carries the timestamp it was measured at.
